The traditional end of the summer parade season is quickly approaching with the September 12th Ellington Fire Department Carnival and Firemen's Parade. Apparatus representations have already been assigned by Chief Kelley however, all TVFD members are welcome to attend and march to represent the department. The parade kick-off time is 5:15 p.m. Traditionally, TVFD has had a large turn-out at the Ellington Parade, where a fun time has been had by all. So dust off your department uniform and "Come On Down"!

New Fleet Maintenance Vehicle - Chief Engineer John Mylek, Asst. Chief Engineer, Captain Steve Scanlon and new Deputy Chief of Fleet Maintenance Operations, "SPIKE" Scanlon, sit on the rear bumper of the department's latest acquisiton from Coca-Cola Enterprises USA. The 1984 Grumman/GMC panel van was donated this past month to the TVFD and is in fine shape according to John and Steve. The body is all aluminum and the engine is only 2 years old. (There are uncomfirmed rumors that the first items purchased for the truck was a small water/food dish combination and small couch. Wonder who that's for?)
