RESCUES
Rescue companies know more than anyone the importance of constant small equipment checkout. Power tools, hydraulic tools and electrical appliances. Start and run all power tools for several minutes. Check for blade tightness on power saws. Is your gas fresh? Enough bar oil? Run hydraulic tools through their range of motion. Hydraulic leaks? Hoses connect and disconnect well? No leaks, cracks, wear marks on hydraulic hoses? Does the remote hydraulic gas motor unit work properly? Service and run the generator. Have the air bags been inflated lately? Fire extinguishers - are they charged? Thermal imaging cameras - cycle the batteries - operate the devices. Did you forget to place the grounding rod?
