On Monday, September 14th ET541 and Rescue 541 responded to an accident on Rt. 83 in front of Dunkin' Donuts. The unusual part of this call was the position of the motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle was traveling southbound on Rt. 83 and struck the front left side of the car. The motorcyclist, in a panic, explained that he hung onto the handlebars, as the front end of the bike hit the car. It flipped the bike up and onto the hood of the car, facing the opposite direction. The motorcyclist was ambulatory on scene, with complaints of severe groin pain after impacting the gas tank and then being thrown from the bike. The driver of the car was not injured.
