Chris Hammick, firefighter from ET141, received his Fire Officer I certification this past November. Chris was also accepted to attend the National Fire Academy Volunteer Incentive Program was held January 30-February 6. The weeklong seminar featured 8 different fire service topics. The VIP program is offered to volunteer firefighters from around the country who qualify. FEMA/NFA pay all costs, airfare, room and board at NFA and transportation to and from the airport. The members of ET541 would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the 1998 Christmas Party. We had a turnout of 98 people, not too bad for a Friday night.
It is not clear how Chief Kelley won the door prize of $200 cash, but we can assure you, it was not fixed (Rumor has it, Chief Kelley will buy the first round of drinks at this year's Christmas party for the 1st 100 people).
The members of the band wish to thank everyone for their support and hope that they can be of service to us some time in the future.

We understand ET441 will be planning the 1999 Christmas party, and we wish them luck.
Don't forget, Christmas and New Years both fall on a Saturday this year. Friday night doesn't look so bad after all. Once again, thank you all very much for your support, we had a lot of fun putting this together.
