Chief Kelley would like to extend his personal thanks to Capt. George Taylor and all those who participated and assisted with this years Safety Town. This program, designed for pre-school youngsters, has worked well for years teaching children the importance of safety.

Day in the Park 1999 was well represented by members of ET241, R141, T141, and R541. Several other members stopped by throughout the day. Station 241 was the host to the CT Fire Academy's Smoke House to demonstrate safe evacuation to children.

2nd Lt. Samantha McDonald of Rescue 141 helps a "future" firefighter gear-up to show him how it feels to be in complete turn-out gear.
