1999 was another successful year for the Town of Vernon Volunteer Firefighters Association Toys for Tots Drive. Thanks to the efforts of many, we were able to deliver mainly new toys to 410 children from 187 families. Thanks to the Fire Police Company for managing the used toy pick ups and to the members who diligently sorted all toys. The magnitude of this event would not be possible without the assistance given by so many members of the community. In 1999 we received monetary and new toy assistance from the following locations:
