Center Road-February 19, 2001 - Tower 141 prepares to vent the roof as interior crews advance to extinguish a bedroom fire. Fire damaged the bedroom, attic and hallway but the house was not a total loss. Ice and snow slowed the firefighting effort but the blaze was quickly brought under control.

Phoenix Street-April 16, 2001 - At 12:30, first arriving Vernon police officers found a locked and fully charged house puffing smoke at the seams. Low daytime manpower got this attack off to a slow start, but a house team lead by Captain Dave Goric and Firefighter Steve Browning extinguished a room and contents kitchen fire a few minutes after entry was gained. Unfortunately though, a German Shepard puppy and a rabbit perished in the blaze.
