Once again, with the leadership of Diane Carpenter, the Town of Vernon Fire Department's annual Toys for Tots event was a great success.  Toys were delivered on Thursday, December 19, 2002  to 416 children from 191 families.  Many people do not realize the amount of time and effort that goes into making this event a success story.  Our hats go off to Diane for all her hard work and dedication.
