One thing I've always noticed is that whenever anything happens in Vernon the whole posse comes running! The other day, in the middle of the power outage, several police, fire and EMT vehicles scrambled through the dark, dodging tree branches, downed wires and untold obstacles to get to the scene as fast as possible. Way to go, Vernon! If only CL&P worked half as hard ...!

A couple days ago my grandmother Barbara Caverly was rescued from a motel/hotel by two gentleman named Dan and Tony. She swears these men were her gaurdian angels. And i would have to agree. Without these men my grandfather would have had to lugg all of there belongings by himself into the car, help my grandmother into the car herself and then hope that they would be able to find a place with power for her oxegen tank. This would have been a huge, exhausting amd extremely difficult task. So, im thanking Tony and Dan as well as everyone else who is helping to protect my family in connecticut. You guys truely are angels. God bless. ---Chantelle Caverly
