August 3rd, 2007-Franklin Street Structure Fire
On Friday August 3rd, 2007 Town of Vernon Fire Department Stations 441 and 541 were dispatched to a reported possible structure fire. After the initial dispatch Vernon Police units confirmed a fully involved second floor. Car 1041 (Car 341-Duty officer at the time) was first on scene for the TVFD reporting fire through the roof and windows of the second floor. TVFD Stations 141, 241, and 341 filled out the second alarm assignment. Units initialized a defensive attack due to the involvement prior to their arrival. Mutual aid departments from South Windsor, Tolland, Bolton, and Coventry provided station coverage while TVFD resources were operating.
